Best American Restaurants in Saint Louis, Mo

Saint Louis may be a small city, but it has some great food if you do your research. But who has time for that when I’ve done the research for you! When it comes to American food, there’s a lot to choose from so I’ve narrowed our options by choosing restaurants with great reviews and a unique charm. Café Manhattan’s interior is 50s themed, for those looking to be dripped in nostalgia. Complete with a jukebox and several neon signs, there’s no place like it in STL.  They’re located at 505 S Hanley Rd, in ClaytonBenton Park Café has a beautiful exterior with a nice area to dine outside and enjoy the view. They serve coffee and breakfast food. Located on 2901 Salena St in Benton Park.

Fitz’s is quite famous in STL. They specialize in root beer floats and have a live bottling line from the 1940s that can turn out a bottle every second. Fitz’s interior has incredibly high ceilings and art deco embellishments on the wall. Located on The Delmar loop, there are lots of other charming shops and restaurants within walking distance.

If you’re looking for something more refined, Polite Society claims to elevate American good to the level of fine dining. Their reviews back up this claim. With most fine dining restaurants in STL being French, Polite Society breaks the mold in an interesting way.

That’s all for American food but stay tuned as more STL food blogs are coming soon. They’ll focus on different categories of cuisine such as Asian, European, Latin, and more.
